Here at Rochester Black Pride we are committed to the important work of empowering and uplifting the most vulnerable members of our community! With our our Trans* siblings, specifically our Black Trans Sisters, there would be NO PRIDE, there would be no Ballroom scene, shit... there would be no community!

 

Our siblings have given so much to our community and to "mainstream" culture, yet are continuously left behind when it comes to access to resources, visibility, representation, and most importantly SAFETY. We DO NOT accept the current state our Black & Brown Trans* community as our reality and we committed to helping to build a world where they can live & thrive being their full authentic selves!
